Asante Kotoko reignite interest to sign Shafiu Mumuni

Ghana Premier League giants, Asante Kotoko has reignited their interest in signing former Ashantigold striker Shafiu Mumuni after failing to secure the services of Ugandan forward  Stephen Mukwala.

Mumuni has been without a club after failing to extend his contract with the miners at the expiration of his deal. He currently available on a free transfer.

The Porcupine Warriors who were keen to sign the out of contract striker withdrew their interest due to his high demands.

But according to reports the Kumasi based club has made U-turn to sign the player for the forthcoming season after failing to land a deal with Ugandan striker Stephen Mukwala

Kotoko wants to fortify its upfront for the 2020/21 CAF Champions League as well as Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors already have William Opoku Mensah, Naby Keita, Osman Ibrahim, and Evans Adomako.
