Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko have parted ways with striker Richard Arthur ahead of the resumption of football activities in the country.

The 26-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors on a three-year deal in 2019 following a short spell in Ethiopia with Saint Georges FC.

Arthur struggled to make an impact at the club as he made only appearances for the Reds during the truncated 2019/20 Ghana Premier League  season and has since been told to look for new club.

The striker is deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Maxwell Konadu as the Kumasi-based side re-build their squad under new management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.

Meanwhile, defenders Empem Dacosta and Evans Owusu have both left the club ahead of the upcoming season which commences next month.
