Asante Kotoko are set to fly defender Abdul Ganiu Ismail to Germany for surgery on his knee, claims the Public Relations Officer of the club Kennedy Boakye Ansah.
Boakye-Ansah revealed that there are arrangements to fly out Ismail abroad in the coming days for the surgery.
His comment comes after the injured defender recently in an interview cried out for help after going through severe pains and difficulties in walking as a result of the injury.
”We are preparing to take Abdul Ganiu to Germany for surgery,” he told Asempa FM,
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the club’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign last season.
Since joining the club from fellow Premier League side Karela United, he has become a key cog for Asante Kotoko and was played a key role in their African inter-club competition last term.
