Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Asante Kotoko have suspended left-back, Patrick Asmah for the remainder of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.
Asmah has been suspended by the club for gross misconduct.
The defender will not partake in first team training after the management of the club handed Asmah a letter of suspension.
“Yes, I have received a communique from the technical team that I have been suspended for the rest of the season,” Asmah told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
Asmah according to reports had a heated argument with the technical team of Asante Kotoko led by Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum after their home defeat to Legon Cities.
Asmah made only ten appearances for Asante Kotoko this season so far.
Asante Kotoko will be hoping to return to winning ways when they play West African Football Academy [WAFA] at the Red Bull Arena at Sogakope in the matchday 27 games after suffering a defeat against RTU and Legon Cities in the matchday 25 and 26 games.
