Asante Kotoko have tabled a two-year contract extension deal for Samuel Frimpong as they bid to keep the player beyond the expiry of his current contract.
The defender despite not playing in most matches this season has still managed to impress in the few games he has played.
As reported by footballghana.com on Wednesday, Samuel Frimpong only has a few weeks left on his current contract.
While he could become a free agent by the close of the month, the management of Asante Kotoko have decided to extend his contract.
As a result, the club has according to information from sources tabled a new two-year contract for the defender.
He is studying the deal with his representatives who are yet to decide whether to accept the deal or seek playing time elsewhere.
Samuel Frimpong joined Asante Kotoko from lower-tier outfit Bekwai Youth. He last season spent the campaign on loan at Karela United.
