Asante Kotoko terminates comtract of six players

Ghana premier league record holders, Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC has parted ways with six players of their first team.

The Reds on Monday met all the players but one after the other to inform them the club decision to terminate their running contracts.Checks made by footballghana.com highlights that, some players are leaving the porcupine warriors due to performance and disciplinary issues.Among all is also player wages.

The management of the club, insist some players reduce their monthly wages since they are not delivering on the salaries.

Muntari Tagoe who switched camp from Medeama SC has his contract terminated having less a year stint with the club.Three times CAF champions league winner and former Kotoko player, Daniel Nii Adjei also included in the six players.

1. Muntari Tagoe (Goalkeeper)

2. Daniel Nii Adjei

3. Obed Owusu

4. Frederick Boateng

5. Naby Keita

6. Abas Mohammed (ex Medeama striker)

The list initially included midfield dynamo Jordan Opoku, but the returnee academy product has been spared for now and would be watched keenly to justify his stay during the upcoming Normalization Special Competition.
