Ghana's sole representative in the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup Asante Kotoko are set to play against Medeama Sporting Club in a friendly game on Wednesday at the Essipong Sports Stadium.

The Porcupine Warriors have confirmed they will be playing the Mavue and Yellows in a friendly as part of the preparations ahead of CAF inter-club which begins in November.

This will be part of their 10-day camping in the Western Region.

Speaking to the media after their third training session in Takoradi, head coach C.K Akunnor confirmed that they will play Medeama SC and one Togolese team as a replacement for Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosa.

“Kotoko will play Medeama and one Togolese team who also qualified for Champions League because we wanted to engage Asec rather but it didn’t succeed as we were expected ,” he emphasized

“Medeama are also a good side and we play against them on Wednesday.”

Kotoko are still awaiting their opponent in the CAF Confederations Cup qualifying round.
