Asante Kotoko working on a deal to sign defender Samuel Asamoah from Bofoakwa Tano

Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko are busy in the transfer market to bring in reinforcements.

Today, sources have indicated that the Porcupine Warriors club have opened talks with Bofoakwa Tano to secure the services of talented defender Bofoakwa Tano.

The right-back last season excelled for his club and could now make a big move to Asante Kotoko to continue his career.

He will become just one of a number of players who will sign for the Reds if a deal is reached.

Already, Asante Kotoko have secured the services of three new players to strengthen the squad of the team.

On Tuesday, August 8, the club announced that it has signed defender Yahaya Dawuni on a three-year contract.

The defender has been signed from lower-tier club Susubiribi SC.

“We’re delighted to announce the signing of Yahaya Dawuni from Susubiribi SC,” a club statement from Kotoko said.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko re currently in Beposo where the squad of the team led by head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has commenced pre-season training.
