According to local media reports, AshantiGold coach Bashir Hayford will leave his post at the club by close of this week.

The former Asante Kotoko trainer has come under intense pressure following their poor start to the season.

The miners have suffered back to back defeats- a situation which leaves them 14th on the league table.

Bashir Hayford who signed a contract extension in 2015 is said to have mentioned after their game against Bechem United that he will take a bow.

A report by sportscrusader.com states that Bashir Hayford is not fit and wants to step down and concentrate on recuperating.

Bashiru guided the Miners to win their first league title in the 2014/15 GPL season, after almost two decades of trying.
