AshantiGold sends its players home for a week after coronavirus outbreak

Ghana premier league heavyweights AshantiGold SC has decided to send its players home for a week following the suspension of football activities in Ghana due to the increase in the cases of Coronavirus in the country.

Ghana has recorded 7 positive cases of Covid-19 so far and there are fears the situation could become much worse just as has happened across countries in Europe and America.

President Nana Akuffo Addo announced the suspension of all sporting activities for four weeks in wake of the rising disease.

This has led to some clubs deciding to send its players homr and AshGold is the latest club to join.

The Obuasi based side has dissolved camp for a week and shall resume on Tuesday March 24.
