AshantiGold winger Amos Addai looks set to complete a move to FC Nizhny Novgorod in the Russian second tier, the Ghanaian club has confirmed.
The left-sided attacker is scheduled to fly out of Accra Wednesday to join the side for their one-month training camp in Turkey.
Addai, 23, has been one of AshGold’s key men in recent seasons, especially the first round of the truncated 2017/18 Ghana Premier League. He was courted by Asante Kotoko late last year.
FC Nizhny Novgorod are chasing promotion to the Russian Premier League (FNL) and currently lie 5th on the 2018/19 Football National League log after 24 games.
This season’s FNL has been on break since November 24 and scheduled to resume March 2 for the remaining 14 games of the season.
Meanwhile, the GFA Normalisation Committee is set to organise a Special Football League to replace the truncated 2018 Ghana Premier League in February at all various match venues after the airing of the Anas expose on corruption in Ghana football.
