Ashgold release Nuhu twins after only one season

Immediate-past Ghana Premier League champions AshantiGold SC have released twin brothers Fuseini and Alhassan Nuhu after an average one-year stint with The Miners.

The twin brothers were handed their marching orders on Saturday which asked them to leave because they do not feature in the plans of Ashgold for next season.

A portion of the letter to the former New Edubiase United duo stated: "You have up to the end of the 2016/2017 for your contract with Ashantigold Sporting Club to expire but we do not have the intention to keep you anymore based on the fact that you do not feature in our future scheme of things and have therefore decided to put you on transfer with immediate".

They played a combined 52 games in 60 games for the Elephants last season - Fuseini played 28 games while Alhassan played 24 matches.
