Ashanti Gold midfielder, Eric Opoku says they are very optimistic of securing all the three points against Sekondi Hasaacas in the Match Day 27 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

The defending League Champions will host the Western giants at the Lane Clay Stadium on Sunday.

The Obuasi based club will be hoping to record a victory over their counterparts to maintain their quest of finishing in a respectable position.

Opoku despite his side’s poor display this season remains optimistic ahead of Sunday’s clash.

“This season hasn’t been good for us. Things haven’t gone well but we hope to finish the League very strong,” he told Ghana Sports Newspaper.

“We will defeat Hasaacas come Sunday. There is no way they will pick a point in Obuasi.

“We want to finish in a respectable position because winning the title will be difficult so we will beat Hasaacas to maintain that quest.”

Ashanti Gold are 10th on the League table with 33 points.
