Assist King Kevin De Bruyne Reveals He Doesn't Care About Mourinho's Opinion and Regrets Nothing

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has said that he holds no regrets over his ill-fated spell at Chelsea.


The Belgian midfielder, who left Stamford Bridge in 2014,toldFourFourTwothat he doesn't care why Jose Mourinho never gave him a proper chance, but said that leaving was the 'obvious choice'.


De Bruyne was awarded just three Premier League appearances under Mourinho and spent the2012-13 campaign on loan in GermanyatWerder Bremen,before making apermanent movetoWolfsburg in 2014.


While playing in the Bundesliga, De Bruyne wonthe Player of the Year award for his outstanding performances and convinced Manchester City to shell out £55m for his services.


The 25-year-old said the motivation for leaving Chelsea was a desire to find first team football.

I've no idea and I don't care [why he never won over Mourinho]. I waited four months, then I said to myself that I wanted to play football every week. I couldn't get the game time I wanted, so leaving was the obvious choice."


The Premier League's leading assist maker went on to say how he doesn't consider any of his career moves a mistake.


"...But of all the choices I have made in my career, I don't regret one of them “ even going to Chelsea. It didn't work out. I wanted to play football; I didn't; so I left.�


The former Genk man has made a strongstart to the 2016-17 season and managed to get one over on his former boss byscoring in the 1-2 victoryover Mourinho's Manchester United atOld Trafford in September.
