Aston Villa exploring to sign Ghana and Athletic Bilbao’s forward Inaki Williams in winter window

Premier League outfit Aston Villa are exploring options to sign Ghana international Inaki Williams from Athletic Bilbao.

The former Spain international has spent most of his playing career in the La Liga, featuring for Bilbao since 2015.

The 29-year-old Ghanaian attacker is enjoying a descent campaign with Bilbao, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 13 games in the Spanish top-flight.

Williams recently equaled the goalscoring record of Athletic Bilbao legend Cuco Ziganda. He now has 91 goals from 394 appearances.

According to Football Insider, the Black Stars forward has emerged as a top transfer target for Aston Villa, who are exploring to secure his services in the winter window.

The Ghana international current contract the Spanish club is expected to expire in the summer of 2028.
