Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew named Man of the Match in quarter-final win over DR Congo

Jordan Ayew produced a scintillating all action display and was named Man of the Match in Ghana's 2-1 victory over DR Congo today in the quarterfinals of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Villa misfit scored the first goal of the match with a shot from just outside the box after receiving a pass from Panathinaikos man Mubarak Wakaso.

He was a constant thorn for the Congo defence with his trikery and pace.

Jordan is the third Ghana player to win the Man of the Match award after Christian Atsu (against Uganda) and Thomas Partey (against Mali).

Jordan now has a goal and an assist at AFCON 2017.
