Ghanaian goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi showed fine form for St. Gallen over the past weekend during their 3-3 draw against BSC Young Boys.

The two top-clubs in the Swiss Super League locked horns at the Kybunpark on Sunday, February 23, 2020, to fight for 3 points to go top of the standings of the division.

Following a pulsating and drama-filled encounter, St. Gallen shared the spoils with Young Boys after they both scored three times.

In what was a Match Week 23 fixture of the Swiss top-flight, Betim Fazliji opened the scoring for the home team before two goals from Jean-Piere Nsama and Moumi Ngalemeu handed the away team a 2-1 lead to take into the first half break.

In the second half, an impressive performance from St. Gallen saw the side scoring two to draw level and go in front for the second time. Late in the half, a penalty was awarded to Young Boys.

Black Stars goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi who was in post for Gallen stood tall and saved the resulting kick. In a dramatic circumstance, however, the referee for the day adjudged that Zigi moved off his line too early and hence called for a retake of the kick.

This time around, Hoarau got his kick right as he slotted it into the back of the net. Despite that result, Lawrence Ati-Zigi was hailed by his teammates and fans who sort to appreciate his fine form in post.

Since joining, St. Gallen, the goalie has established himself as a fan favorite and continues to exhibit top form.
