Atletico Madrid have joined the battle for AS Monaco wing-back Fabinho.

Atletico coach Diego Simeone is a fan of the Brazilian and wants to bring him back to Spain.

It would mean a return to Madrid for Fabinho, having spent time with Real Madrid Castilla.

However, the midfielder has indicated he wants to move to Manchester United this summer, with talk of a bid being readied by the Premier League giants emerging this week.

Speaking with Canal Esporte, Fabinho declared "the interest of Manchester United is something that flatters me much", before also stating that he would "love to" work with United manager Jose Mourinho again.

Fabinho said the same of former Castilla teammate Alvaro Morata, who is in talks about a move to Old Trafford this month.
