La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have informed Arsenal that they will not accept anything less than 50 million euros for Thomas Partey according to transfer guru, Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal have been on the trail of the 27-year-old midfielder for months now with reports indicating that Mikel Arteta is desperate to work with the player next season.

Reports have also indicated that Atletico Madrid rejected Arsenal's first offer for the player which was a player plus cash deal. However, Partey is still interested in joining the Gunners and wants to wait until the two clubs agree terms as he does not want to force a move.

He has already agreed personal terms with the London club according to multiple sources and hopes to make the switch to England.

He made over 40 appearances for Arsenal last campaign.
