Atletico Madrid gives Arsenal Partey ultimatum

Atletico Madrid have told Arsenal to pay the 50 million euro release clause or walk away from a deal for Thomas Partey according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners made a player plus cash offer for Partey in the last few months but Atletico Madrid swiftly rejected it with the aim of recouping 50 million euros.

The Spanish club offered Partey a new deal which he rejected but are not up for losing him for less than his release clause.

Reports have indicated that Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with the player and the player is keen on the move. However, if the deal falls through, Partey will stay at Atletico for another season.

It remains to be seen if he does move to Arsenal this summer.
