Audit service begins probe into Dr. Kwame Kyei's tenure at Asante Kotoko

Manhyia Palace has hired Kumasi-based auditing firm, Asamoa Bonsu & Co to conduct an extensive audition into the administration of Dr. Kwame Kyei for the period he has been at Asante Kotoko.

The Unity Oil owner has been the board chairman of the Porcupine Warriors for the past 3 years.

Though under his leadership the club has had stints in both of CAF’s inter-club competitions and has won the MTN FA Cup competition, he has come under backlash for certain decisions he has taken.

He has often been accused of being an autocrat and has recently been fired for paying huge compensations to coaches whom the club hired and sacked under bizarre circumstances.

He is now under scrutiny after Manhyia mandated Asamoa Bonsu & Co to audit the finances of the club from the time he joined as the Executive Board Chairman at Kotoko until present.

The audit will later be handed over to a five-member committee which will be chaired by Nana Oguakro Afrane Okese IV (Chief of Ejisu), accountant of the Asanteman Council and the Ashanti regional managers of Fidelity Bank and Ecobank.
