Augustine Arhinful urges Ghanaians to stop comparing current Black Stars team to previous squad

Former Ghana midfielder Augustine Arhinful has urged Ghanaians to stop comparing the current Black Stars players to the previous generations but rather help improve the team.

CK Akonnor's side has come under huge criticism following their unconvincing performances in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Black Stars beat Ethiopia 1-0 at the Cape Coast stadium but lost to South Africa at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg in their second Group G game on Monday.

"CK Akonnor should be able to device a strategy or formation which will suit the player's strengths and capabilities," he told Nhyira FM.

"It baffles me when we compare generations in terms of quality, now our focus should how to improve on the players at our disposal at the moment."

Ghana are now second on the standings with three points, one point behind leaders South Africa.
