Ghanaian forward Augustine Boakye showcased his exceptional form in the Austrian Bundesliga, notching another assist during Wolfsberger AC's triumph over LASK Linz on Saturday.

In this match-week encounter at the Lavanttal Arena, Wolfsberger AC secured a 2-1 victory, propelling them to fifth place on the league table.

Boakye played a pivotal role, setting up Bamba Mohammed for the opening goal in the 25th minute.

Fifteen minutes after the opening goal, Florian Rieder extended the lead to 2-0 with an assist from substitute Lukas Ibertsberger. Wolfsberger went into the break with a two-goal advantage.

Wolfsberger were then reduced to ten men after Nikolas was sent off in the 73rd minute.

Despite a late penalty converted by Thomas Goiginger, LASK Linz could only secure a consolation goal, resulting in a 2-1 win for the hosts.

The former WAFA midfielder’s contributions have been noteworthy, tallying two goals and two assists in seven league matches for Wolfsberger AC.
