Augustine Okrah expresses shock at missing-out on Ghana's provisional AFCON 2017 squad

Sudan-based forward Augustine Okrah has expressed dismay at being left out of Ghana's provisional AFCON squad despite an impressive season with Al Hilal.

Okrah who has scored 40 goals in three seasons despite predominantly being used as a winger took to Twitter to vent his frustration in a New Year's message to his fans.

He wrote: "I'm SURPRISED I couldn't even make the provisional squad for the Afcon. Over 40 league goals in 3 seasons as a winger? Happy New year to all". Okrah’s 16-goal haul sent him tops of the goal chart in 2014 znd he also won the Most Valuable Player award as the season concluded after 30 games.
