Austria OFB Cup Final: Majeed Ashimeru elated after scoring in Salzburg’s in big win over Lustenau

Ghanaian international, Majeed Ashimeru has shared his joy after scoring in Red Bull Salzburg’s 5-0 win over Austria Lustenau in the finals of the 2020 Austria OFB Cup on Saturday night.

The highly-rated midfielder played 90 minutes for his club and managed to impress throughout his stay on the pitch.

Leading by 2 goals to nil at halftime courtesy a strike from Dominik Szoboszlai and an own goal from Dominik Stumberger, Red Bull returned from the break to score 3 additional goals.

Ghana’s Majeed Ashimeru scored with a fine effort to sandwich equalizers from Noah Okafor and Sekou Koita.

In a Twitter post today, the former WAFA poster boy has expressed his delight to his performance as he acknowledges the supports of fans of the club.

“Thanks to you all for the love and support. Big win and happy to score”, he posted.

Ahead of the return of the Austrian top-flight league in June, Majeed Ashimeru is hoping to get more starting roles.
