Austrian side Sturm Graz have expressed interest in signing Ghanaian defender Kennedy Boateng in the on-going summer transfer window.

Sturm Graz have set sights on acquiring the services of the Ghanaian before the transfer deadline day from SV Reid.

Boateng has attracted interest from several clubs in Europe with Greek side Aris Thessaloniki making an offer early this month, however, the offer was rejected by the Austrian second-tier side.

Sturm Graz are looking to beef up their squad with another defender before the window closes after signing Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah from Australian Bundesliga side FC Red Bull Salzburg on season long-loan deal.

Kennedy Boateng has made five appearances and scored once for the second-tier side this season in Ertse Liga.

Last season, the tough-tackling defender featured in 30 games for SV Reid.
