Ghana Football Association executive committee member Wilfred Osei says Black Stars coach Avram Grant will not have any excuse if he fails to win next year’s AFCON tournament in Gabon.
With the recent bad vibe around the team following the tension between the Ghana Football Association and the Sports ministry, many are of the view that the Israeli trainer cannot be blamed if Ghana fails to end its long wait for an African title at next year’s tournament.
But Wilfred Osei who doubles as vice chairman of the Black Stars management committee says Grant has been tasked to win the tournament and will not expect anything less than that.
“He is fully aware that considering the environmental factors, finance is one of the major hurdle that a country like Ghana will be confronted with,” he told Joy Fm
“Avram cannot come up with any excuse in relation to the fact that due to A,B,C,E,D that is why i couldn’t win the tournament, what he has to concern with is the assurance we have given him to purely concentrate on the technical aspect of the game.”
