Head coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Avram Grant remains optimistic of a good outing from the players despite admitting that the team had a bad preparations.

The former Chelsea boss is not pleased with the rush-hour preparations for the game moments after the AFCON clash with Rwanda in Accra but says his boys are ready.

Speaking to the Russia n media ahead of the match, Grant said, “We played a game on Saturday and had to come to Russia right afterwards. We did not have enough time to train but I am confident my boys will give a good game.

“The Russia team is new because only seven of the players that played the Euros are still with the squad. They have a new coach and have played only one game so far under him.

“I watched that game against Turkey and I know they have a good team,” he added.

Ghana played the Amavubi on Saturday before leaving for Russia for the friendly which comes off tonight.

The friendly is part of Ghana’s preparations for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda next month.
