Ghana coach Avram Grant has stated his desire to win next year's Africa Cup of Nations title in Gabon. Grant has been under fire following the Black Stars recent insipid performances.

He has supervised a disastrous start to the country's 2018 World Cup qualifiers, picking a just a point in their opening two games.

With the Africa Cup of Nations around the corner, the Israeli trainer wants to make history by ending the country's long wait for an African title.

''Yes, we have African Cup. Our target is very clear. I always want to finish my contract. Our contract is the African Cup that was two years and three months, I want to win the African Cup," he said

"It will not be easy, there are other good teams but it is possible.

''In football, you cannot think beyond two or three months. Two or three months is too much. Let's do what we need to do at the African Cup and then we think about what's next."
