Ayew’s MoTM performance for Swansea against Blackburn earns him a spot on Championship ‘Team of the Week’

Swansea City talisman Andre Ayew has been named on the English Championship 'Team of the Week' for match week 21 of the ongoing campaign following his stellar performance against Blackburn Rovers.

The Ghanaian international was handed a starting role for the Swans when they hosted their matchday opponent at the Liberty Stadium on Wednesday night.

The away team took a deserved lead just four minutes into the first half courtesy a strike from Daniel Graham.

Andre Ayew scored with a towering header 6 minutes later to restore parity for the Swansea City side.

Though there was nothing to separate the two sides at the end of the 90 minutes, Ayew who excelled on day emerged as the Man of the Match after completing 5 dribbles, 57 touches, 30 accurate passes (90.9%), four accurate long balls from four, winning four out of six aerial duels, seven of 11 ground duels, two tackles, two interceptions, and three clearances.

He has subsequently been included on the team sheet of the English Championship Team of the Week.
