Baba Rahman honoured to have played for Schalke 04

Ghana's left-back, Abdul Baba Rahman has revealed his gratefulness and joy to have worn the colours of Bundesliga side Schalke 04.

Rahman had a two-year loan spell with the German club after a season stint at Stamford Bridge where he made 26 appearances for the blues of England. Baba later signed a year loan deal with Schalke 04 following his splendid performance in his first season with the club.

However, he was rocked by a series of injury which truncated his football career, sidelining him for months.

The former Augsburg defender sealed a loan deal with French Ligue 1 outfit Remis after a successful medical in the January transfer. Baba after putting pen on paper for the club, send gratitude message to former club, Schalke 04.

"Schalke fans I want to say a very big thank you to Schalke 04 for the time you gave me during an incredibly difficult period of career".

"Its been an honour to have worn the colours of our good club. I have learned a lot both on and off the field that will go beyond football. Me and my family are grateful".

"I wish the club, the fans, the players, the medical team and the technical team nothing but the best for the remaining season".
