Baba Rahman shines as Stade Reims defeat Montpellier in Ligue 1

Ghana international defender Baba Rahman out up an incredible performance in Stade Reims 4-2 win over Montpellier at the Stade de la Mosson in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday. 

Rahman, who was making his second appearance for the club since joining on loan from Chelsea in January transfer window was impressed on the left side of defence as Reims travelled to pick all three points as they set sight on Uefa Europa League qualification.

The left-back lasted the entire duration of the game.

Daniel Cogre opened the scoring for the hosts in the 7th-minute but the lead lasted for only 20 minutes when Remi Oudin leveled for the visitors.

Abner Zeneli put Stade Reims into the just two minutes after the break from the spot.

Gaeten Laborde then pulled level for Montpellier in the 55th minute but Remi Oudin added his second on the day to send David Guion’s men in-front again.

Pablo Charravia completed the scoring for Stade Reims with a fine finish in the 88th minute.

The win sends Stade Reims to 6th position on the league table with 41 points, same as Olympique Marseille on 5th position.
