Barcelona chief Robert Fernandez concedes his summer signings have disappointed.

The Blaugrana's sporting director was self-critical about some of the transfers he made last summer.

"I would like to be more satisfied with the signings this season," he said after victory over Real Sociedad. "It's not easy to play at Barcelona at 22 or 23 years old."

He also backed the fans.

"We have no complaints about our fans, who are with the team. Winning is always difficult because the opponent wants to neutralise our game, but we know that we have the support of the fans today, on Wednesday and forever."
