Barcelona are challenging Manchester City for Benfica fullback Nelson Semedo.
O Jogo says in 24 hours this week, Benfica president Luiz Felipe Vieira and agent Jorge Mendes met officials from both City and Barca to discuss the defender. Mendes was Semedo's agent before he left Gestifute for Luca Bascherini earlier this year.
Vieira and Mendes first met City directors Txiki Begiristain and Ferran Soriano in Manchester, before jetting to Barcelona to speak with sports chief Robert Fernandez.
Benfica, while under no pressure to sell, are prepared to cash in on Semedo this summer.
The Portuguese giants are seeking €30 million to sell.
