Barcelona are set to improve Sergio Busquets’ contract at the club, reports Mundo Deportivo. Busquets’ agent Josep Maria Orobitg has held talks with senior Barca figures and an agreement over a new deal is all but finalised.
Barca will activate an option to extend his contract by a further two years until 2023, while the midfielder’s buyout clause will be raised from €200m to €500m.
The 30-year-old, whose salary will be increased, will put pen to paper next week or the week after.
