The veteran Ghanaian trainer with three games to end the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season was relieved from his duties as the head coach of the club.

Bashir was replaced by Maxwell Konadu on a two-year deal.

Last week, it was reported that the former Ashgold and Asante Kotoko head trainer has reported the Royals to the Players Status Committee over his unpaid wages.

The report also claimed that the veteran coach was owed five months salary, bonuses and other incentives which has not been paid since he was asked to step aside for Maxwell Konadu to take over the coaching duties of the club.

But according to the experienced gaffer, those reports were unfounded and without any basis because he has not made any complaint to anybody for anything.

“I also got a call from several people asking me about this but I don’t know where that is coming from. It is not true that I have taken the club anywhere”, the former Medeama SC gaffer told Graphic Sports.

Hayford had signed a three-year contract with the ‘Royals’ in November 2020 when he was drafted in to replace Goran Barjakteravic but could not see to the expiration of his contract.
