Bundesliga heavyweights Bayern Munich are tracking the progress of Celtic and Scotland left-back Kieran Tierney, according to theDaily Express.

The 19-year-old has impressed for Celtic with a string of impressive performances, attracting interest from a host of European clubs, including the Bavarian giants.

According to the report, Munich sent a scout to watch the full-back during Celtic's thrilling 3-3 draw with Manchester City in the Champions League last week, with the club keen to appraise how the youngster coped under the pressure of going up against a Pep Guardiola-instructed attack.

Tierney has endured something of a baptism of fire in the Champions League this season but gave a good account of his abilities up against Raheem Sterling at Parkhead last week, proving that he wasn't prepared to dwell on being part of the Celtic defence that crumbled against Barcelona in the opening game.

Tierney recently gave an interview to the Scottish Record explaining how he was learning every game and how a chastening experience like the one endured at the hands of Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar a few weeks prior at the Nou Camp.

I felt I did okay. He [Sterling] is a £50m player, so he is going to get crosses in and do good stuff in the game. You expect that but I tried my best against him and hopefully did okay," tierney said.

You learn from nights like the Nou Camp. That was a brutal experience and you never want to go through that in your career. You could say you learn more from a defeat like the one in Barcelona than you do from a big win in a domestic game.

You never want to be on the receiving end of it but you learn from the mistakes you make and try to correct them."
