Bayern Munich have confirmed winger Kingsley Coman will be out of action until the New Year as a result ofknee and ankle injuries.
The forward picked up the problems at a training camp for the French national team in Clairefontaine, and the the 20-year-old's clubhave now officially confirmed Coman will be absent from first team affairs for the rest of the calendar year.
"The injury sustained by Bayern pro Kingsley Coman at the France national team training camp in Clairefontaine has turned out to be serious," a statement ofBayern's official club websitehas revealed.
"On Thursday an examination by FC Bayern's medical unit revealed the Bayern winger has torn a ligament in his knee and sustained a capsular tear in his left ankle. The 20-year-old will be sidelined for the rest of the year."
The loss of Coman will be a blow to Bayern fans, as the young attacker was beginning to show his importance at the Allianz Arena, with boss Carlo Ancelotti stating recently that there is 'no chance' the Frenchmanwill be leaving his loan spellprematurely to rejoin parent club Juventus.

However, there is more positive news for Bayern withcentral midfielder and defender Javi Martinez poised to make a return to actionsooner than expected.
"On a more positive note, Javi MartÃnez might return earlier than expected. The 28-year-old, who has been sidelined with muscular problems since the end of October, will resume training next Monday.

The news of Martinez seems to be coming just in time as the Bavarian giantsalso have fitness concerns over midfielder Arturo Vidal, who had to be replaced late on in Chile's 0-0 draw with Colombia with a knock.
