MTN FA Cup winners, Bechem United, have approached Techiman City shot stopper, Richard Ayi to secure his services for their CAF Confederation Cup and next season’s league campaign.
The Brong Ahafo club appear to have given up on their pursuit for the Medeama SC gloves man, Daniel Agyei, and believes the Techiman United young star could complement their effort at making a strong impression at the continental showpiece.
A source to the Brong Ahafo-based club, told the Graphic Sports that Ayi, apart from being younger, also possess all the qualities the club wanted in a goalkeeper and, therefore, believed he, together with the two current goalkeepers with the club, could help solve their goalkeeping problems.
Ever since winning the FA Cup for the first time against Division One League (DOL) side, Okwawu United, Bechem have embarked on a number of signings to beef up the squad and also to position themselves well for next year’s continental tournament.
The source said the club would resume training today and dasked all players to intensify their preparation towards next season.
