Bechem United to name new stands after former player Augustine Okrah

Ghana Premier League side Bechem United have decided to name its new stands at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park after former player Augustine Okrah.

Okrah recently secured a move to Tanzanian giants Simba SC after explosive campaign with Bechem united in the Ghana Premier League.

He signed signed a two-year contract with the Lions of Msimbazi, keeping him at the club until 2024.

The 28-year-old returned to Bechem at the beginning of the 2021-22 campaign after parting ways with Asante Kotoko SC.

He was instrumental for the Hunters last season since he rejoined them where he has scored 14 goals in 32 matches in the Ghana Premier League with Bechem finishing at the 3rd position, the club's best position in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Having sacrificed during his stints with Bechem United, the club has decided to honour him by naming its new stands after the player.

“Okrah has had two impressive spells with the club so the founder of the club wants to honour the winger.

All the transfer fee from the sale of Okrah to Simba will go into the construction of the new stands and it will be named after player, “Okrah Stands”. The Team Manager of the club, Emmanuel Amoah Gyanpah told Angel TV.
