Benjamin Tetteh scores to seal win for Yeni Malatyaspor against Joseph Paintsil’s MKE Ankaragucu
Ghanaian forward, Benjamin Tetteh scored for Yeni Malatyaspor in the team’s 2-1 win against MKE Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday afternoon.
The exciting forward today started for his team when they hosted the matchday opponent at the Malatya Stadyumu.
On the back of a goalless draw in the first half, Adem Buyuk equalized 10 minutes into the second half to give the home team the lead.
Continuing to dominate play, Yeni Malatyaspor doubled their lead in the 77th minute when winger Benjamin Tetteh scored with a fine effort.
In an exciting end to the contest, MKE Ankaragucu were awarded a penalty kick in added time. In form-Ghanaian attacker, Joseph Paintsil accepted the responsibility and made no mistake as he scored from 12 yards.
Unfortunately, it was not enough to save his team from defeat as Benjamin Tetteh and his Yeni Malatyaspor outfit held on to win 2-1 at the end of the 90 minutes.
