Ghanaian international Bernard Mensah was in action for his Kayserispor side on Saturday as he provided a vital assist to help the club post a 1-0 win over Denizlispor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Following several injury setbacks in the first round of the 2019/2020 season, the former Atletico Madrid midfielder is now fit and proving to be a key asset for the side in the second round.
In what was a Match Week 21 fixture of the Turkish top-flight season, Bernard Mensah was handed a starting role to feature for Kayserispor in their away encounter with Denizlispor.
In the second half, his assist from a free-kick found Cristian Sapunaru who directed his header straight into the back of the net on the 69th minute.
That equalizer handed Kayserispor the important win at the end of the 90 minutes as they returned home with all 3 points.
They, however, remain at the bottom of the League standings with a disappointing 15 points at this stage of the league competition. They will need to build on the victory to seek for more wins to boost their chances of climbing out of the red zone.
