Ghanaian winger Bernard Morrison has revealed reason behind his outrageous goal celebration in Orlando Pirates 2-0 win in the NetBank Cup against Ajax Cape Town.

The former Ashantigold play-maker was in top form for his side after netting a brace to ensure his side progressed to the last 16 of the competition.

The winger celebrations was out of the ordinary after running the pitch to walk on his knees. His awkward celebrations had people talking but he explained that his antics were directed to former Coach Muhsin Ertugal, who he had a frosty relationship with.

“There was some problems going between Muhsin and I and the celebration was meant to him,” said Morrison, who did not elaborate on the matter,” he said.

The wide man, who arrived form AS Vita, has difficult spell under Muhsin Ertugal, and was close to being transferred. However, under new Coach Mulitin Sredojevic, the Ghanaian has returned to form, earning the praises of the Serbian tactician.

“He brings good spirit in the team. We are always in a good mood. He is the one spicing up the good mood in the team,” the Serbian said.

“His hard work has paid off. But at the same moment he has done a thing from what he is capable of. He must continue working hard.”
