Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas has set sight on signing Afriyie Acquah and has according to footballghana.com sources opened negotiations with Yeni Malatyaspor.

The Ghanaian international moved from Italian Serie A club Empoli to join Yeni prior to the start of the 2019/2020 season.

Since arriving in Turkey, he has made his presence felt and was one of the best players for his club before the campaign was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

With the current season set to end soon, Besiktas has started planning for the next season and has decided to reinforce their squad.

It is understood that manager for the Black and Whites Sergen Yalçın has recommended Afriyie Acquah to his employers as one of his top transfer targets for the upcoming transfer window.

Our checks have revealed that Besiktas technical directors have contacted Yeni Malatyaspor and have even commenced negotiations.

Acquah, 28, has made 21 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig this season and has chipped in with 3 assists.

He is valued at 2 million Euros and his club is eager to cash in to avoid losing him for free.
