German-born Ghanaian international, Kevin-Prince Boateng has been quarantined in Turkey, his wife, Melissa Satta has confirmed.

The self-isolation of the Besiktas forward is as a precaution after Galatasaray head coach Faith Terim tested for the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Prior to this, Besiktas and Galatasaray were involved in a match in the Turkish Super Lig which ended goalless before the league was suspended.

To ensure that no player has contracted the virus, players of the two clubs have been put under quarantine and their samples taken for testing.

In a video call, Melissa Satta narrated, “My husband was called to take the test because someone from the Turkish championship tested positive”.

She added, “About the matter here, and little has been said about it. - admitted Satta in connection - Maybe she was underestimated. It was thought that it was an Italian problem and instead it got everywhere, even here”.

Due to protocols that have been put in place, KP Boateng is expected to be observed for the next 14 days and will only be allowed to reunite with his family if he is cleared.
