Beşiktaş join Lecce & Benevento in race to sign Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah

Turkish giants Beşiktaş have joined Lecce & Benevento in the chase to sign Ghanaian midfielder Afriyie Acquah in the on-going transfer window, according to SPORTSworldGhana.com.

Acquah has been one of the consistent performers for Yeni Malatyaspor this term, making 30 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal, and providing three assists in the process.

The report further stated that Beşiktaş manager Sergen Yalcin who coached the 28-year-old during his first season at Malatyaspor is eager to sign him as he seeks to beef up his midfield for next season.

His contract with Yeni Malatyaspor will expire in on June 30, 2021, however, he will be allowed to leave for a fee of €2m this summer.

Lecce and newly promoted Serie A side Benevento are also reported to be interested in completing a deal for the former Hoffenheim midfielder.
