AshantiGold have being drawn to battle Medeama SC in the finals of the ongoing Betway Cup 2019.
The four-team tournament which has being fixed for two days at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium recorded a shocking result in day one of the tournament. Paving way for the host, AshantiGold to play in the finals as they beat Liberty Professionals 2-1 in their opener.
Saddick Adams opened the scoring from the spot kick goal in the first half and Salia Outara added the second with left foot strike after the recess of the game.
Elvis Kyei Baffour, however found a consolation goal for the Scientific Soccer lads to make it 2-1 in the dying embers of the game.
The second game of the tournament recorded a 7-goal thriller, when Tarkwa side Medeama SC whitewashed Aduana Stars 5-2 to book a spot for the final.
Liberty Professional will face Aduana Stars in the third place match following their failure to secure a ticket to the finals of the maiden edition of the Betway Cup.
