Bibiani Gold Stars head coach, Stephen Frimpong Manso, has attributed his team's 2-0 loss to Accra Lions to an exhausting travel schedule.

The defeat at the Accra Sports Stadium saw Mohammed Yahaya and Daniel Awuni netting goals for the Lions in a 2-0 win that lifts then into fifth.

Accra Lions' victory marks their fourth win in the last six Ghana Premier League games during the 2023-2024 second round, showcasing their impressive form in the latter half of the season.

Following the loss, Frimpong Manso highlighted the demanding travel schedule that had GoldStars playing matches in Tamale, Accra (twice), and Bibiani within a short timeframe.

"We needed to press them and it was difficult; looking at the conditions we are in. Within one week, we have traveled to Accra on two occasions and then played again on Wednesday and then to press with such conditions, it was very difficult for us.

“You could see they we were comfortable because they can pass, they can build. To prevent that we needed to press them to force to kick long balls and we were finding it difficult to do that because of our physical condition.”
