Big boost for Hearts of Oak as Gladson Awako resumes training after injury lay-off

Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak have been boosted by the return of midfielder Gladson Awako.

Awako, who is the captain of the Phobians has been out of action for over a month after picking an injury while on international duty with the Black Galaxies.

The former Great Olympics star picked up a knock during the Black Meteors opening game against Madagascar at the 2023 Championship for African Nations (CHAN) tournament in Algeria early this year.

Since then, the experienced midfielder has not featured for the rainbow boys who are chasing the Ghana Premier League title.

The former Ghana U20 player resumed full training on Thursday and could be named in the team for the GPL game against Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.

His return come as a huge boost for David Ocloo with nine games remaining to end the 2022/23 campaign.

Hearts of Oak 5th on the league standings with 39 points after 25 matches into the campaign.
