Black Maidens skipper Mukarama Abdulai emerges top scorer in U-17 WWC qualifiers

Black Maidens striker, Mukarama Abdulai has emerged as the top scorer in Africa’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying campaign.

Abdulai scored 12 goals in Ghana’s journey to qualify for the U-17 World Cup in France.

The 16-year-old striker scored five goals against Gambia in the two legged-tie before scoring four goals in the first leg match against Djibouti a fortnight ago.

Mukarama, who was the second highest scorer in the National Women’s League last season scored a hat-trick in Ghana’s 10-0 dismantling of Djibouti in the reverse fixture to increase her tally to 12 in four matches.

Cameroon’s Marie Ngah was the second highest scorer in the qualifying campaign with five goals.
